LEGAL INFORMATION

Terms & Conditions

Terms governing use of the Safir website and the basis on which consultancy enquiries may lead to separately agreed services.

Effective date: 27 August 2026. These terms are governed by French law, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections that apply under French or European Union law.

1. Operator and acceptance

This website is operated by Safir International Education Consultancy, based in Paris, France (“Safir”). You may contact Safir at info@safirconsultancy.fr. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.

2. Purpose of the website

The website presents general information about international education consultancy, university and programme selection, applications, document preparation, student-visa preparation and pre-departure guidance. Website content is general information and is not a binding offer, legal advice, immigration representation or a promise of any outcome.

3. Enquiries and formation of a service agreement

Sending an enquiry, completing a website form or starting a WhatsApp conversation does not by itself create a paid service contract. Before paid services begin, Safir and the client should agree in writing on the services, price, payment schedule, expected timetable, required documents, cancellation arrangements and any specific conditions. That individual agreement prevails if it conflicts with these general website terms.

4. Safir’s services and limits

Safir provides guidance and administrative support with reasonable care and skill. Admission decisions, scholarship decisions, visa decisions, processing times and rules are controlled by universities, public authorities and other independent third parties. Safir does not guarantee admission, funding, a visa, a particular processing time or any other third-party decision.

Requirements can change. Clients should verify important information with the relevant institution or official authority before acting.

5. Client responsibilities

Clients must provide complete, accurate, authentic and timely information and documents; review applications before submission; respect deadlines; promptly disclose material changes; and comply with institutional and legal requirements. Safir may refuse or stop work involving false, altered, misleading, unlawful or incomplete information.

6. Fees, payment and additional costs

Fees, taxes, payment dates and the scope of included work will be stated before a paid service is accepted. Unless expressly included, third-party costs—such as application fees, translation, certification, tests, insurance, courier, travel, accommodation and government charges—are paid separately by the client. Late-payment and refund rules, if relevant, will be stated in the individual service agreement and remain subject to mandatory law.

7. Consumer withdrawal rights

Where a consumer concludes a distance or off-premises service contract and French consumer law applies, the consumer generally has fourteen days to withdraw, subject to statutory exceptions. If the consumer expressly asks Safir to begin during that period, the consumer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services performed before withdrawal. The right may be lost after a service is fully performed only where the legal conditions—including the consumer’s required prior request and acknowledgement—are satisfied.

The service agreement will provide the applicable withdrawal information and method when required. Nothing in these terms removes a mandatory statutory right.

8. Cancellation and suspension

Specific cancellation, rescheduling and refund conditions will be set out before paid work begins. Safir may suspend performance when required information or payment is missing, when a client requests unlawful or misleading conduct, or when continuing would breach professional, contractual or legal obligations. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

9. Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, Safir owns or is authorised to use the website’s text, branding, layout and original materials. You may view and make reasonable personal use of them. You may not reproduce, sell, publish, scrape or commercially exploit substantial website content without prior written permission, except where law allows.

10. Third-party websites and communications

The website may link to universities, authorities, WhatsApp and other independent services. Safir does not control their availability, security, content or privacy practices. A link is not a guarantee or endorsement. Your use of an external service is governed by that provider’s terms.

11. Availability and liability

Safir aims to keep the website accurate and available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safir is responsible only for direct loss caused by a proven breach of its obligations. Nothing excludes or limits liability where exclusion is prohibited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

12. Force majeure

Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by an event beyond reasonable control, subject to applicable law. The affected party should inform the other promptly and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact.

13. Complaints and consumer mediation

Complaints should first be sent to info@safirconsultancy.fr with enough information for Safir to investigate. Where French consumer-mediation rules apply, the contact details of the competent mediator will be provided in the individual service documentation and added to this page once formally appointed. Consumers may also use SignalConso to seek guidance or report a consumer issue.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable procedural and consumer law will hear disputes. A consumer living in another EU or EEA country retains any mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights granted by the law applicable to that consumer.

15. Changes and severability

Safir may update these terms to reflect changes in services, technology or law. The effective date identifies the current version. If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
